Sourcing Manager

 

The Organic Herb Trading Company is looking for an experienced and highly proactive Sourcing Manager to take on a new role within the company. The successful candidate will be driven, ambitious and have a proven track record of sourcing goods from the developing world, negotiating contracts and dropping cash straight to the bottom line.

We are looking for the right person to take a highly proactive approach to finding new suppliers of herbs, spices and botanicals that meet the criteria of Organic Herb Trading’s overall sourcing strategy. You will play a lead role, working with colleagues in the Purchasing, Quality and Sales & Business Development Departments, in supporting future growth with an aim to capitalise on trading opportunities.

Importantly, the right person will be motivated by forging resilient and mutually beneficial long term relationships with suppliers. You will also be confident, customer focused and able to think on your feet. Above all else you will have the ability to really make things happen.

Salary £20K to £29K depending on background and experience.

Warehouse & Processing Operative

We are looking for hard working individuals to work within our warehouse team. The role is varied and covers milling, packing, warehouse and working in the herb field (on occasions). The position involves heavy lifting and moving and regular local driving duties. The ideal candidate will be a great team player, be able to use their own initiative and have good communication skills. A forklift truck licence would be an advantage, although not essential as we can offer training.

£7.50 per hour increasing to £7.70 per hour after successful probation | 36.5 hours per week | Including generous benefits

HR Co-ordinator

Organic Herb Trading has a very strong work ethic and the most common reason staff give for staying with us – in some cases for decades - is because they enjoy the family atmosphere and great working environment. In addition, our benefits package includes an annual profit share, an entry-level health care scheme, contributory pension, childcare vouchers and staff buying co-operative. The successful HR Co-ordinator will make it their priority to manage the employee journey from the very start.

This role will be needed to cover maternity leave (around 15 hours per week), therefore, the successful candidate will be expected to maintain and develop the existing systems in place.

You will be responsible for a variety of HR administrative duties such as holiday and absence management, recruitment and selection and being on hand for every day HR queries. Click here to read the full job description.
